To provide the client with a clear, professional weekly update on Meta Ads and Google Ads performance, including key metrics, insights, recommendations, and next steps.

âś… Step-by-Step Process

1. Log in to Platforms

  • Log into the relevant Meta Ads and Google Ads accounts.
  • Make sure to select the correct account/campaign and date range:
    → Last 7 days (Monday to Sunday).

2. Gather Key Metrics

For both Meta Ads and Google Ads, manually collect and note the following metrics for each active campaign:

  • Impressions
  • Reach (Meta only)
  • Ad Spend
  • Clicks
  • Conversions / Results
  • Cost per Lead / Result

📌 Pro Tip: Use the “Customize Columns” option in Ads Manager and Google Ads to only show these metrics for easy viewing/export.


3. Export or Screenshot (Optional)

  • You may export the campaign-level view to Excel or Google Sheets if preferred.
  • OR take clear screenshots of the performance view, only if the client prefers visual data.

4. Analyze the Performance

  • Compare to the previous week’s data (manually tracked).
  • Identify:
    • Top-performing campaigns
    • Underperforming campaigns
    • Any noticeable trends or shifts (e.g., CPC rising, CTR dropping, etc.)

5. Write Recommendations & Plan

Prepare 2 short sections:

A. Recommendations

  • Optimization suggestions (e.g., pause underperforming ads, test new creatives, change targeting, etc.)

B. Next Week’s Action Items

  • Planned experiments, budget shifts, or content changes.
  • Mention any A/B tests or learnings you’ll apply.

6. Prepare the Email Update

Use this email format:
